Emirates FC president Youssef Al-Batran has reveal that he may offer 40-year-old midfielder Andres Iniesta a coaching job if the team is relegate this season, according to a report from ‘สมัคร ufabet‘ last Tuesday
Iniesta parted ways with Japanese club Vissel Kobe last summer. He has chosen to continue his career by signing a one-year contract with Emirates FC to join old friend Francisco Alcacer, with the option to extend for a further year.
However, things did not go according to plan as Emirates FC are 13th out of 14 teams in the UAE League. While there are 9 more matches left in the field schedule, the team of the legendary Spanish national team and Barcelona are 8 points away from the safety zone.
Recently, Emirates FC president Al-Batran revealed that he would offer Iniesta the coaching job if the team were to be relegate this season. Because he doesn’t want to see top players play at the 2nd division level.
‘If the team succeeds in staying safe, We will open negotiations to extend the contract with him. Because he is still in very good technical and physical condition. He can be with us for the next few seasons. But if we are relegate I will not let a valuable player like him play in Division 2. I will offer him as coach of the team.’
